Playsets of Trauma

A child’s life changes immediately when war and violence break out. Anxiety and fear mount, and although they may seem unaffected, most children are bewildered and terrified.

For those exposed to these realities, childhood is far from the normal experiences of children in places like America.

They don’t have access to the toys that are commonplace in places like Walmart or Target. Instead, they are forced to grow up quickly, learning how to survive.

We aim to show the harsh reality of their world and make it understandable to an audience that is privileged enough not to know it.

Illustrated Comps

The goal: To educate and engage the audience, encouraging them to commit to automated donations that will continue to change a child’s life forever.

Interactive posters in an oversaturated, hyper-happy style showcase a diverse 'toy' collection. By catching the audience off-guard, we’ll entice them with a QR code to scan, where they’ll learn about the 'A Better Life' program, which will allow users to become yearly or monthly contributors.

A children’s playground is hijacked by ‘toys’ typically used in war-torn areas. These playsets would be placed in high-traffic areas to disrupt the audience.
